Private Painting Instruction (Local)

Who It’s For:

• Beginners who want a structured, guided introduction to painting.
• Intermediate artists looking to refine their technique.
• Advanced artists wanting to push their work further with professional critique and guidance from a gallery-represented artist.

How It Works:

• I come to your home for private, hands-on instruction tailored to your experience level and artistic goals.
• We select a painting project together—either something you’ve been wanting to create or an exercise designed to push your skills.
• We both work on the same painting, encountering the same challenges, so I can provide real-time solutions, adjustments, and insights as we go.
• For large-scale projects: We start with a smaller study to establish the composition, color relationships, and key decisions. This gives a strong foundation before committing to the full-size piece. The student can then apply what they learned to the larger work, using follow-up critiques or virtual studio visits to stay on track.
• You’ll learn technical skills, how to troubleshoot issues, and develop a stronger artistic process in a way that’s completely immersive.

What You’ll Gain:

• Personalized guidance from an established professional artist.
• Direct problem-solving experience—watch and learn as I tackle the same artistic challenges alongside you.
• A finished or near-finished painting by the end of your lessons, depending on project complexity.

Pricing

• Single Session: $200 per hour with extra time for setup and teardown. 
• 5-Lesson Package: $700 total (saves $300).
• 10-Lessons Package: $1,500 (saves $500). Lessons are 2 hours. 

Follow-Up Support

For 5+ Lesson Package Clients:

• One email or text critique per week for 5 weeks after lessons conclude.
• One 15-minute video follow-up call to discuss progress and next steps.
• Feedback applies to projects started during lessons OR new works using learned techniques.

For Single-Lesson Clients:

• One follow-up critique via email or text for the project started in our session.

Continue Your Progress with Virtual Studio Visits

After your lessons, keep refining your skills with one-on-one virtual critiques. 

• $50 for 30 minutes via video call.
• Get direct feedback on your latest work.
• Troubleshoot specific challenges and refine your technique.
